SUPPORT

College of Allied Health Professions Innovation Fund

A gift to this fund provides general help to the College of Allied Health, enabling it to lend support to areas, projects and programs of greatest need.

The University of Nebraska Medical Center’s College of Allied Health Professions is on a mission to achieve the extraordinary.

CAHP is home to over a dozen healthcare education programs and has already become a national leader in distance education, pedagogy and rural health. With the second-highest enrollment rate among UNMC colleges and several allied health education programs offered on UNMC’s Kearney campus, CAHP is a college on the rise.

At its helm is CAHP’s newly named dean Tammy Webster, Ph.D. Thanks to donor support through the College of Allied Health Professions Innovation Fund, Webster said she is ready to achieve CAHP’s ambitious vision.

“Seeing the potential to realize our shared visions and strategic goals for the future [excites me most],” Webster said. “This aspirational but achievable vision will move us from the strong foundation of excellent to extraordinary.”

CAHP is home to over a dozen healthcare education programs. These programs include, but are not limited to:

  • Physician Assistant,
  • Genetic Counseling,
  • Medical Laboratory Science, and;
  • Radiography.

CAHP holds the second-highest enrollment rate among UNMC colleges and has also seen several allied health education programs expand into UNMC’s Kearney campus. You can learn more about the college’s expansive offerings here.

“Seeing the potential to realize our shared visions and strategic goals for the future [excites me most],” Webster said. “This aspirational but achievable vision will move us from the strong foundation of excellent to extraordinary.”

The college’s goals will be accomplished through its internal and external communities found within the college, as well as through support to the College of Allied Health Professions Innovation Fund, Dr. Webster said.

“The Innovation Funds support the efforts to expand the currently identified key priorities such as our excellence in education through student scholarships or professorships for our faculty,” she said. “But equally important, the funds permit us to take the necessary steps forward in unrealized opportunities such as in our research, community outreach and industry strategic pillars.”

Contributions to the fund play a critical role in building momentum within the college and advancing its mission.

“These contributions help support the shared vision of the college,” Webster said. “The funds allow our faculty, staff and students reach their full impact potential. It provides the lane for innovation, calculated risk-taking and growth while maintaining our achieved levels of excellence.”

That means every gift to the College of Allied Health Professions Innovation Fund makes an impact.

“Every gift, every dollar amount makes an impact,” Webster said. “And being the College of Allied Health Professions, we have a wide array of possible connection and impact points that may align with a donor’s interest area.”
