College of Pharmacy Innovation Fund

Gifts to this fund support the College of Pharmacy Alumni Innovation Fund.

The UNMC College of Pharmacy prepares its students from the moment they step foot onto campus.

The school focuses deeply on ensuring that every student has what it takes for their skills to expand beyond the college and into a real patient setting.

“There are a handful of schools around that really get that reputation that [they] are ready to go, that can step into a role on day one and take care of patients,” said Kyle Skiermont, COP’s chief operating officer at Nebraska Medicine . “UNMC is top of my list when it comes to that.”

At the COP, faculty and students alike have a vision to see the fullest potential within themselves.

"Growing up in Nebraska, I was always inspired by the technology and innovation at the UNMC and even more inspired by the students when I visited the campus, so that makes me really proud to be a student here right now,” said COP student Delaney Patocka.

There’s a unique energy that defines the UNMC campus — where students not only excel in their work but also find the tools and support to make success possible.

None of this would be achievable without the College of Pharmacy Innovation Fund, which empowers students and faculty to continue reaching new heights. Through donor support, this fund impacts the college in several ways, including:

  • Promoting student wellness;
  • Funding the annual White Coat Ceremony;
  • Providing continuing education and resources for students; and
  • Celebrating the accomplishments of students and faculty.

“The Innovation Fund continues to be a vital source of support for our students, faculty and the UNMC Alumni Association,” said Donald G. Klepser, Ph.D., MBA. Interim Joseph D. Williams Endowed Dean. “These collective gifts help us create a more enriching and supportive environment for future pharmacists. We are deeply grateful for your generosity.”

For some, a scholarship may be the determining factor on whether to pursue higher education. With the help of the Innovation Fund, dreams are kept alive and the future of medical professionals in Nebraska can flourish.

“One thing I would like to say to people that do donate to our program is that it does really help,” said COP student Mariah Marisch. “I can speak from experience that scholarships do truly help and it makes the financial burden not as bad.”

To continue the support of our Nebraska future medical professionals, please consider donating to the College of Pharmacy Innovation Fund.
